TokenJay is a peer-to-peer token trading platform that enables direct trades between Ergo users without relying on automated market makers or liquidity pools. The platform facilitates trustless exchanges where users can create and accept trade offers for ERG and any native tokens on the Ergo blockchain.
Unlike AMM-based DEXs where prices are determined by pool ratios, TokenJay allows traders to set their own prices and find counterparties willing to accept those terms. This order-book style trading can be more capital efficient for large trades and provides better price discovery for less liquid tokens that might suffer from high slippage on AMMs.
The platform leverages Ergo's eUTXO model to enable atomic swaps where both sides of a trade execute in a single transaction. This eliminates counterparty risk since trades either complete fully or not at all. TokenJay serves as essential infrastructure for Ergo's token economy, enabling price discovery and liquidity for the growing ecosystem of native assets.
